TrailerTrap Creator Named to #YouTubeBlack Voices Music Class of 2022
Performs Feature Song for Documentary “Never Gonna Tame You (Original Song from “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses”)” Written By Music Icon Diane Warren
Friday evening TrailerTrap creator and the mastermind behind the international 11x PLATINUM (totaled across three countries) sensation “The Git Up”, Blanco Brown, released the music video for his single “Nobody’s More Country.” In celebration of being named to the #YouTubeBlack Voices Music Class of 2022, Brown debuted the video via a YouTube Premiere and then treated fans to a YouTube Live Q&A, answering fans questions and talking about his upcoming projects. Watch the music video here.
Blanco was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident in September 2020 that nearly claimed his life, twice. He required several 12-hour surgeries and spent weeks in the ICU, having to learn how to walk again. Throughout his recovery, Blanco leaned on music to heal— “Nobody’s More Country” is the first taste of that music.
“Being that this is my first video since I’ve been back, it was important for me to show myself back on an Indian Motorcycle and that it ain’t about getting knocked down, it’s about getting back up,” said Blanco Brown. “Beyond that, I just wanted to create a music video that was joyous, made people smile and let people know I am OKAY. After such a rough year, I learned you just can’t take everything too seriously. Drink some lemonade!”
The song pulls inspiration from Blanco’s Georgia roots by filling the song with southern imagery, bouncy grooves and Blanco’s own spoon rhythms. Directed by Taylor Kelly and filmed in Tennessee, the video brings the song to life with rural scenery, vintage Country flair (including a depiction of a childhood Blanco) and downhome fun.
Written by Brown, Tyler Hubbard (of Florida Georgia Line), Jordan Schmidt and Quintin Amey, the song shouts out the things he loves about the Country way of life—something he’s seen people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds unite over. Inspired by seeing how Country music lives in the hearts of all types of people across his experiences traveling the globe, the title is an inclusive nod to the notion that nobody is more (or less) country than anybody else.
Blanco, who appears in the Netflix Series “Country Music, explained” (available now) and is currently on tour with Nelly, also recently released the emotional “Never Gonna Tame You (Original Song from “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses”)” the feature song for the historic documentary “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses.” The song was written by music icon, 12-time Oscar® nominee and GRAMMY®, Emmy® and two-time Golden Globe® award winner, Diane Warren for the film, which she co-produced. The soundtrack for the film, which unpacks the alarming history and current status of America’s wild horses, also features American musical legends including Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris. “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses” is in theaters now.
