TrailerTrap Creator Joins Old Dominion and Bryce Vine Tours
First taste of new music since life-threatening accident left him learning to walk again
TrailerTrap creator and the mastermind behind the international 11x PLATINUM (totaled across three countries) sensation “The Git Up”, Blanco Brown released his first taste of music since his life-threatening accident in 2020, “Nobody’s More Country” today via BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records. Listen to “Nobody’s More Country” HERE.
The song pulls inspiration from his Georgia roots by filling the song with southern imagery, bouncy grooves and Blanco’s own spoon rhythms. Written by Brown, Tyler Hubbard (of Florida Georgia Line), Jordan Schmidt and Quintin Amey, the song shouts out the things he loves about the Country way of life—something he’s seen people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds unite over. Inspired by seeing how Country music lives in the hearts of all types of people across his experiences traveling the globe, the title is an inclusive nod to the notion that nobody is more (or less) country than anybody else.
“Releasing new music after everything I’ve been through has shown me that you can be broken and whole at the same time. I’m blessed to still be able to create with an open mind and heart!” exclaimed Blanco Brown.
In September, Blanco was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident that nearly claimed his life, twice. He required several 12-hour surgeries and spent weeks in the ICU, having to learn how to walk again. Throughout his recovery, Blanco leaned on music to heal—writing enough material for a forthcoming album. “Nobody’s More Country” is the first taste of that music— his performance of the new track on the RAM Trucks Side Stage at the CMT Music Awards marked his first televised performance since his injuries.
Having made a miraculous recovery, Blanco will perform tomorrow (Saturday, June 19) at The National Museum of African American Music Juneteenth Block Party, in honor of Black Music Month and will join select dates this summer on the We Are Old Dominion: Live at the Ballpark Tour as well as Bryce Vine’s Miss You a Little tour.
Blanco and Vine have recently collaborated for a pop mix of Brown’s song “Just the Way” with Parmalee. The original version of the song, having already peaked at No. 1 on Country radio in the US and Canada is currently in the Top 25 on Hot AC radio. Already certified PLATINUM, with more than 190 million on-demand streams, the music video for the song was also nominated at the CMT Music Awards for “Group Video of the Year.”
Fans can hear a stripped-down version of the new track in the recent CMT Campfire Sessions (where you can see Blanco play the spoons before diving into a medley featuring his global smash “The Git Up”).
