Broken Bow Records and Stoney Creek Records Top the Album Charts

Nashville, TN (February 17, 2011)– Independent record label Broken Bow Records is celebrating for a second week by holding the #1 country album sales position (34,957 units) for country rocker Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party. In addition, sister label Stoney Creek Records also has much to celebrate with their breakout duo Thompson Square's debut album reaching the #3 spot on the country album charts–selling over 30k. This marks the largest sales debut for any artist in the company's history.

“We could not be more excited about the success our company is currently enjoying,” says SVP of Operations Rick Shedd. “We don't take anything for granted and the great thing is we have plenty of life left in both singles which should continue to drive these impressive sales numbers.”

Stoney Creek Records was founded in March of 2009 by CEO/President Benny Brown as a continuation of the passion and determination that spawned the success of sister imprint, Broken Bow Records. The success of BBR artist Jason Aldean in particular has launched the label to the top of the charts. Jason Aldean began his success at the label in 2005, when his self-titled debut album (“Hicktown” “Why” “Amarillo Sky”) was certified Gold in 12 weeks and shortly thereafter was certified Platinum.
