Stoney Creek Records’ Jimmie Allen celebrates his birthday today as his debut single, “Best Shot,” cruises into the Top 40 on the Mediabase Country Chart after debuting as the 2nd Most Added song at Country radio. “Best Shot” was first introduced to the world through Jimmie’s self-titled EP, which was released in October and subsequently earned him recognition on nearly every “One to Watch” list for 2018.
“Thank you, Country radio for giving me this incredible birthday present,” said Jimmie Allen. “The fact that my first single has made it to the Top 40 is incredible and I appreciate all of your support. I will never forget this.”
The music video for the song recently premiered on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown, watch it here. Drawing inspiration from advice from his grandmother, the self-reflective song has resonated with fans in a unique way with many stories of fans using the track as their first dance song at their wedding. Just the other day, while making his CMA Fest debut, a man proposed to his girlfriend while Jimmie was performing “Best Shot.” Jimmie noticed their special moment from the stage and actually invited the couple to join him up there to share in their excitement.
In addition to several performances, Country newcomer had a packed CMA Fest schedule which included hosting duties as the artist correspondent for the daily recap of the festival. The video, which was played on the screen at Nissan Stadium can be seen here.
