CMT Listen Up Artist, Amazon Music USA “Artist to Watch,” and Pandora “Artist to Watch,” Frank Ray today announces the release date for his most unique body of work yet – his self-titled debut label album Frank Ray – out Friday, July 7 via BBR Music Group/Stoney Creek Records. Featuring 14 tracks, Frank Ray seamlessly intermixes a traditional Country sound with R&B and touches of Frank’s Latin heritage. Pre-order/pre-add/pre-save HERE.

“This album is my grand entrance to the Country music world,” says Frank. “This project is a perfect reflection of who I am. I have finally figured out my voice, and this is what I have to say. I look at this album like a quilt I knitted, each stitch represents a person I love or an influence I admire.”

“Looking to stretch Country music’s cultural boundaries,” (Los Angeles Times) with a sound praised as “easygoing contemporary Country with Pop-Soul hooks and a dash of Southwestern spice” (Rolling Stone), the rhythmic project opens with the anthemic “Streetlights” that showcases his Latin roots, perfectly setting the tone for what to expect throughout the rest of the project. Followed by the catchy “Country’d Look Good On You” and lively, party-starter “Y’all Showed Up,” Ray cranks it up, illustrating his innate ability to cross over from country  into R&B and beyond.

Previously featured on his infectious  label-debut EP Getcha Some that CMT applauded for placing “his knack for songwriting on full display,” and Country Swag raved as a “great debut” and “cohesive EP that you will want to listen to again and again,” the”kiss-off song” (BIllboard) “Somebody Else’s Whiskey” that’s currently climbing the county radio charts finds the “smooth-voiced crooner” (Billboard) celebrating  the freedom and excitement felt after ending a relationship, knowing your ex is finally drinking “Somebody Else’s Whiskey.” People exclusively premiered the “hilarious” video, saying: “Frank Ray just took his breakup song to a new level.” Watch HERE.

Noting influence from Tracy Lawrence, the “Artist to Watch” (Rolling Stone) is a sucker for a sad song, which lead to the birth of the pensive  “Wasting Your Words.”  Intermixing fun and sultry vibes, the song paints a picture of how a couple keeps their spark alive, despite distance.

Next, Frank pays  tribute to country music’s greatest legends like Dolly, George, Waylon and more in the nostalgic “Back Before My Time.” From the wailing pedal steel to the rollicking guitar licks, the good-time track transports you back to Country music’s glory days, before rounding out the project with “Party with Strangers,” which perfectly captures who Frank Ray is –  a guy who turns strangers into immediate lifelong friends.

Most recently, Frank was named one of Country Radio Seminar’s 2023 New Faces, where his performance was left with rave review and the night’s first standing ovation:

a high-energy, engaging performer who moved with ease from start to finish…Ray demonstrated his true star power…Ray is a breath of fresh air in country music, and that was on full display during his set.”  American Songwriter

“He set the bar high as he kicked things off…Ray’s set wouldn’t have been complete without a bit of Latin flair to celebrate his Hispanic roots that have been showcased throughout his career as a country star.”– Country Now

Recently profiled on CMT, the former police officer just launched his mental health initiative “FRAY”-  standing for First Responders MentAl ClaritY – that helps provide first responders with the necessary tools they need for improved mental health due to the intense and sensitive nature of their jobs. He makes it a point to visit local stations at every tour stop. Born as a result of Ray’s visit to Washington D.C. with the Metropolitan Police Academy, visit HERE or watch HERE for more information.
