JASON ALDEAN LACES UP FOR OLD BOOTS, NEW DIRT – OUT TUESDAY
Release Week Includes Performances on TODAY, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon And Caps Off With Aldean’s Annual “Concert For The Cure” To Benefit Susan G. Komen Benefit Concert in Detroit
Nashville, TN- October 3, 2014- Two-time ACM “Male Vocalist Of The Year” Jason Aldean is gearing up for the release of his sixth studio album Old Boots, New Dirt in stores Oct. 7. Aldean will kick off the release with a multi-song performance on TODAY (10/7) followed by a stop at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (10/7).
To round out the week, Aldean has announced that his ninth annual “Concert For The Cure” is slated for Detroit, MI on Oct. 11, where the headliner is slated for a two-night stand. Over the course of 2014’s “Burn It Down” tour, Aldean has set aside a portion of each concert ticket to go towards a local Susan G. Komen affiliate. In years past, donations have been made across the country including Nashville, Roanoke, Dallas and New Orleans.
“We always try and have a lot of fun with our Komen show each year…it isn’t just about raising money to help find a cure, it’s also about celebrating everyone who is going through treatment now and those who’ve been able to beat the disease,” Aldean said. “I think it is a great way to end release week in an area of the country that could use a little help. It should be a great week from start to finish!”
The upcoming album’s lead single, “Burnin’ It Down,” has held the No. one position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart since release, earning PLATINUM certification in only nine weeks and making it the fastest selling country single of 2014. To date, Jason Aldean has sold over nine million albums and has taken 13 trips to No. one on the Country Radio charts. Each of Aldean’s albums has been certified PLATINUM with his last album NIGHT TRAIN earning PLATINUM certification only four weeks from its release. He is currently headlining his monumental 2014 BURN IT DOWN TOUR, which saw him play five stadium dates in addition to sold-out shows in the country’s biggest amphitheaters and arenas.
