Back-to-Back Guest Host Gigs Come on the Heels of
Recent Disney World Engagement
Singer/songwriter and Stoney Creek Records/BBR Music Group artist Jimmie Allen kicked off the week with back-to-back co-hosting gigs at E! News. On Monday, July 22, the breakout Country star joined E!’s “Daily Pop” sharing co-hosting duties with hosts Justin Sylvester and Carrisa Culiner. Tuesday, July 23, Allen returned to co-host web series “Live From E!” with hosts Will Marfuggi and Melanie Bromley. The appearances come on the heels of Allen’s recent Disney World engagement to fellow Milton, Delaware native, Alexis Gale. The couple shared the news exclusively with PEOPLE last week.
A natural born host, Allen is no stranger to co-hosting duties, having assumed the role twice before at NBC’s “TODAY Show.” During the course of the hour-long “Daily Pop” and thirty-minute “Live From E!” Allen and the hosts debated all the pop culture topics of the day including the premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the latest slate of diverse films coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, celeb privacy and social media, and much more.
His current single “Make Me Want To,” which The Boot calls “an infectious, romantic romp,” is currently making its way up the Country charts. Written by Allen with Paul Sikes and Jennifer Denmark, the song is the follow up to his debut No. 1 “Best Shot,” and the second single off his Stoney Creek Records / BBR Music Group debut album Mercury Lane, an album Rolling Stone praises as “a sturdy, hits-packed collection that…challenges the narrowly defined model of what constitutes a next big thing in Country music.”
Allen is currently on the road with Chris Young as support on his Raised On Country Tour. This fall he will join Michael Ray and Walker County for the CMT on Tour. For more information and tour dates, visit jimmieallenmusic.com.
