“Best Shot” Remains #1 Most Shazamed Song in Country for Third Consecutive Week as It Hits Top 10
Hot off a busy album release with Mercury Lane, Jimmie Allen’s star continues to soar as his debut single continues to rocket up the charts. Garnering widespread attention from both fans on digital platforms and radio, “Best Shot” has claimed the top spot as the #1 Most Shazamed song in Country music for the third consecutive week. Breaking into the Top 10 as one of the greatest gainers on the Country chart, the single has accumulated nearly 50 million streams.
In celebration of Mercury Lane, his first full-length album, which came out Friday, October 12, Allen blanketed the East Coast with a series of appearances in his home state of Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Maryland. After making a stellar national TV debut, performing “Best Shot” on NBC’s TODAY, Allen was asked to return to the show for an encore appearance a mere eight days later. On Wednesday, Allen chatted with Kathie Lee and Hoda on a ‘Guys Tell All’ panel, and played a game with his mom by his side.
In addition to many radio and media visits along the way, Jimmie also visited a local high school in support of Little Kids Rock and their mission to further music education. After performing for students and staff, Allen presented a donation of musical instruments and talked to students, sharing words of encouragement and stories about the importance of the pursuit of musical education and following your dreams. The buzzed-about newcomer also dropped by a Walmart near his hometown in Delaware to meet hoards of fans eager to get their hands on a copy of Mercury Lane and meet their hometown star.
The “Best Shot” singer also debuted two brand-new videos for Spotify’s Hot Country Playlist. In “Jimmie Allen: First Verse,” the budding star touches on his journey of perseverance to get to where he is today. The second video is a live performance of his never-quit anthem, “Underdogs.” You can check both videos out here.
With no sights of slowing down, next week the Country crooner will jet off to the UK alongside labelmate, Chase Rice on the Lambs & Lions UK Tour. Allen will hit the road again this November in support of Scotty McCreery and Kane Brown’s tours (announced dates listed below). For tour details and more information, visit www.JimmieAllenMusic.com.
