“It’s all about that first kiss,” says Matt Thomas, lead singer for Parmalee. “ I think everybody remembers where they were with that special girl or guy and they went in for that first kiss.”
Award-winning director Wes Edwards (“Drunk On A Plane,” “Night Train,” “Yeah,” etc.) sets the scene of a nostalgic summer day in the back roads of Nashville, complete with a 400 ft. homemade backwoods slip-n-slide, “fireflies poppin’ like the Fourth of July” and a late night bonfire party, all leading up to that perfect moment to lean in for a kiss– Parmalee style.
Parmalee recently earned a nomination for “Choice Country Group” at this year’s Teen Choice Awards airing live on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 8pm/7pm CT on FOX. Young fans are encouraged to vote daily at: http://www.teenchoiceawards.com

ABOUT PARMALEE
Stoney Creek Records’ Parmalee is a family band comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (bass) and life-long best friend Josh McSwain (guitar). Influenced by such musical heavyweights as the Allman Brothers, Travis Tritt and Bob Seger, the band’s name is derived from the small town of Parmele, NC (population 262), which is home to a small tin-roofed barn dubbed Studio B where the band practiced on every given evening. Parmalee recently dominated the country radio charts with the multi-week #1, GOLD-selling single “Carolina” which made history in 2013 as being the third-longest #1 trek in the Billboard Country Airplay chart’s 24-year history – as well as the longest run by a Vocal Duo or Group. Parmalee’s Top 40 debut country radio single, “Musta Had A Good Time” was voted #1 by fans for four consecutive weeks on SiriusXM The Highway¹s “Hot 30 LIVE” and its video reached #1 on CMT’s PURE 12-Pack Countdown. The song has appeared on nationally broadcast sporting events from the NFL to the PGA and the MLB. Parmalee’s critically lauded new single, “Close Your Eyes,” is currently climbing the Country charts. Both “Carolina” and “Close Your Eyes” were also voted #1 by fans on SiriusXM The Highway’s “Hot 30 LIVE” countdown. All three hits appear on Parmalee’s debut album, FEELS LIKE CAROLINA, in stores now.
