COUNTRY ROCKERS ANNOUNCE NEW DATES FOR THE PARMALEE FESTIVAL TOUR

(Nashville, TN) — Stoney Creek Records’ Parmalee earned its second consecutive #1 on Friday when the band’s new single, “Carolina,” reached #1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 LIVE countdown.

“Carolina” follows in the footsteps of Parmalee’s debut single, “Musta Had A Good Time” which was voted #1 on the The Highway Hot 30 LIVE by fans for four consecutive weeks this past July.

“This #1 is really special for us since this is such a personal song for us,” says Josh McSwain (Guitar/Vocals). “We wrote ‘Carolina’ after a long road trip and being on tour all year, we miss holidays and birthdays with our families. The song is about how your loved ones make you feel at home no matter where you are and we’re excited that fans are connecting with it the way they are. We know it’s a feeling a lot of us share.”

“Carolina” is the band’s fastest selling single to date. With over 5,500 downloads per week, it currently lands on the Soundscan Top 100 Country Songs chart.

ABOUT PARMALEE:

Parmalee is a family band comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (Lead Vocals/Guitar and Drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (Bass) and life-long best friend Josh McSwain (Guitar).
Parmalee’s current single, “Carolina,” was the #2 Most Added at Country radio upon release, second only to superstar Kenny Chesney. In March 2013, the band achieved a lifelong dream when it made its Grand Ole Opry debut.
The group’s debut single, “Musta Had A Good Time” hit Top 40 last year at Country radio and placed #7 in the Top 10 Country Dance Hits of 2012 (Marco Club Connection). Additionally, the song has been featured in national sporting event broadcasts for the PGA and MLB.

Influenced by such musical heavyweights as the Allman Brothers, Travis Tritt and Bob Seger, the band’s name is derived from the small town of Parmele, NC (population 262), which is home to a gas station, two blinking yellow lights and a small tin-roofed barn dubbed Studio B where the band practiced on every given evening.

Cutting their teeth on the Southeastern touring circuit and known for their fun-loving live shows, the members of Parmalee endured a tumultuous journey to Nashville which included dangerous pit stops, catastrophic weather and a near-fatal robbery that would have torn most bands apart. Instead, Parmalee’s deep Country roots, intense motivation, and band-of-brothers sense of dedication brought the tight-knit crew even closer together.
