(NASHVILLE, TN) – Reigning ACM & CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year” Thompson Square’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, Just Feels Good, arrived in stores yesterday, soaring to become the #2 Country album at iTunes behind only superstar Blake Shelton’s new release. Additionally, Just Feels Good, also continues to sit pretty inside the Top 10 all genre albums chart on iTunes.
Just Feels Good hit store shelves just as Thompson Square’s lead single, the smash “If I Didn’t Have You” leapt to #7 this week on both the Billboard and Mediabase Country radio charts.
The husband/wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson have a busy week planned as they cross the South, East and Midwest playing fan appreciation shows in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, Boston and Philadelphia in celebration of the GRAMMY-nominated act’s new album.

The husband/wife duo is featured in an exclusive five-page Country Weekly spread that took Shawna and Keifer Thompson back to their bartending days at Nashville’s famed honkytonk The Wheel (March 25 issue). A behind-the-scenes look and interview from the set can be found here: http://bit.ly/14lHuWx
Once again teaming up with production collective New Voice (NV), husband/ wife duo Shawna and Keifer Thompson have writing credits on six of the album’s 13 songs, including the first single “If I Didn’t Have You,” already the duo’s fastest selling AND rising to date. The song’s message of a big, even universal, love is echoed in postcard-picture “Maybe It’s You” and the rhythmic, who-out-kicked-who debate of “For The Life Of Me.”
More playful themes are found in the rollicking romantic interplay of “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About,” the fast-paced, recurring relationship saga of “Here We Go Again,” the aquatic-romantic metaphor of “Testing The Water” (which features a rap by Shawna Thompson!), the unbridled, glass-raising party anthem “Here’s To Being Here” and the sunny-day stroll of the title track. The dramatic, surging power ballad “I Can’t Out Run You” and never-say-die “Run” offer divergent takes on that verb. And the deeply personal rises again in the autobiographical “That’s So Me And You,” an erstwhile mantra for their relationship, the Springsteen-esque “You Don’t Get Lucky” and the hypnotically smooth closer “Home Is You.”

Country music’s biggest breakout act of the last 2 years, husband and wife duo Thompson Square pounded the pavement for 15 years in the music industry before landing a record deal with Benny Brown’s small independent label Stoney Creek Records (sister label to indie Broken Bow Records and home to Jason Aldean). Since that day, Thompson Square has earned over 25 awards show nominations – including 2 GRAMMY nods – and made music history when it was awarded awards from both the ACM and CMA for “Vocal Duo of the Year” in 2012.
Thompson Square’s breakthrough hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” is nearing Double Platinum sales status, was the #1 Digital Soundscan Single for 5 weeks straight, the #1 Country Ringtone for 12 consecutive weeks and was iTunes 2011 Country Song of the Year. Thompson Square’s whirlwind 2011-2012 saw them on national tours supporting Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum as well as gracing the stages of The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Conan, Fox & Friends, FOX’s All American Concert Series, the 45th Annual CMA Awards, CMT’s Artists of the Year special and the MTV/VH1/CMT “Best of 2012” concert celebration. Thompson Square ended 2011 as Billboard’s #1 New Country Artist in terms of digital sales and the #6 New Artist across all genres. Follow-up hits include the award winning infectious, “I Got You,” (#6) and the critically-lauded power ballad, “Glass” (#15). The duo’s latest smash from its forthcoming sophomore album, “If I Didn’t Have You,” marked Thompson Square’s highest first-week sales of its career.
The duo is currently touring with Luke Bryan on his Dirt Road Diaries Tour through October 2013.
