American Idol winner Noah Thompson delivers the exceptionally relatable and emotionally haunting official music video for his debut EP’s title track “Middle of God Knows Where” today. Thompson, who draws in fans with his powerfully emotive voice and charming southern personality, released his first-ever EP, Middle of God Knows Where (6/9), while simultaneously making his songwriting debut with the compelling title track. Co-written with Alison Veltz and producer Eric Arjes, the boisterous track takes the listener on a ride through the city of heartbreak and the aftermath of emotions and questioning when an ex leaves.
Featuring fan-favorites, Thompson’s exemplary debut project expertly showcases the ample growth as an artist, the former construction worker turned country music star, has achieved in just one year. Showcasing “jaw-dropping vocal control and clear sound” that’s “destined to catapult him to stardom” (CMT), the EP has already received praise. Listen now HERE.

Beautifully showcasing “Thompson’s songwriting prowess, honesty, and authenticity” (Country Swag), the project also features the Thompson co-written “Us No More” that Country Swag called a “break-up jam” that delivers some hard truth to the gossip mill that happens post-relationship as well as the critically acclaimed “One Day Tonight,” which instantly propelled to insane popularity and to No. 1 on iTunes All Genre and Country charts upon original release during Thompson’s winning-Idol season. The project wouldn’t be complete though without the buoyant romance of “She Gets It From Me,” his latest humble-and-kind track “Make You Rich,” and his stunning and career-changing cover of Rihanna’s “Stay.” His performance of the well-known song changed his trajectory on the competition show, highlighting his superstar potential and taking him from one-to-watch to ultimately being crowned as the winner of American Idol.
